Welcome to the best saltwater fly fishing in Western Australia

Exmouth Gulf and the Ningaloo Marine Park are home to one of the worlds most diverse and varied saltwater destinations.

In a single destination anglers can spent the morning casting to permit and GTs ion the flats, then cast big flies to fired up black marlin and sailfish in the afternoon only a few miles from shore.

The town is surrounded by unspoiled nature, the Indian Ocean is teeming with life throughout the year. Remote yet convenient, Exmouth is a safe and easy destination to get to, it’s just a 2 hour flight North of Perth.

The region spans a vast area of water and landscapes, dominated by a peninsula that has the Indian Ocean to the West and Exmouth Gulf to the East. This allows for miles and miles of fishable water in various wind conditions.

Exmouth and Ningaloo

Saltwater fly fishing all year round

Our fishing season is 12 months long.

The Ningaloo Coastline is World Heritage Listed with the United Nations, which in itself provides a massive draw card to travelling anglers.

There are regular flights from Perth with Qantas to Learmonth (Exmouth) airport. The airport is situated half an hour out of town

The small town thrives with tourists from all over the world from March through to October when hundreds of whale sharks aggregate along the Ningaloo Reef, providing one of the world’s premier whale shark diving destinations. Humpback whales too make their annual migration from June through to the end of October and anglers will often see them.
